This 2001 analysis from the Battelle Memorial Institute proposes a regional economic development strategy that CICP largely continues to follow today – encouraging a broad focus on human capital, entrepreneurship and business climate with a specific emphasis on key economic clusters (advanced manufacturing, the life sciences and information technology – later joined by logistics and clean energy.)
