CICP recognizes the importance of these traditional measures of business-friendliness, and also takes a broader view of business climate: Our agenda includes creating a comprehensive regional transportation plan, to improve workforce mobility and encourage neighborhood redevelopment. The push for local government consolidation means streamlining duplicative bureaucracy and protecting business and individual taxpayers from waste and inefficiency. And because a skilled workforce is the major source of competitive advantage for companies today, CICP and our initiatives are focused on improving the education and training system at all levels.
